This project consists of 56 units scattered on four sites in the outlying residential neighborhoods of Charleston, including James Island, Johns Island and Pierpont. The one and two bedroom units are built as duplexes, while the three bedroom units are free-standing homes. Though the project was initially met with stiff resistance from the neighborhoods, as the development of each site neared completion, our firm received numerous compliments from neighbors indicating how nice and attractive are the homes and sites. The Housing Authority is very pleased with the scattered site development and its social impact on the community.
